Welcome

Rotary came to St. George, Utah from Cedar City in 1931 when Dr. M. J. McFarlane came down to Utah's Dixie and organized a club in the old Liberty Hotel. The club was admitted on 29 January 1931 under Charter No. 3409 (later designated 1079) with 18 members. Since that time, Rotary has grown in the area with two additional clubs in St. George and one in Hurricane. Each year, Rotarians from the Rotary Club of St. George provide dictionaries to area 3rd Graders to promote literacy, donate to worthy local causes, participate in an international humanitarian project in Guatemala, and provide other community service. The club works to help youth develop leadership and service by sponsoring the Rotaract Club at Dixie State College, sponsoring YouthLinc participants, participating in Rotary Youth Exchange, and other Rotary youth programs.
