SGR needed for Shivwits service!
Volunteers are needed to help Shivwits elder Glenn Rogers on Thursday, January 12.  Service from noon to 2 pm, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, at the last house on the left (just past the community center) will focus on clearing out the bedrooms and trimming trees and loading branches for transport to the dump.

If you have a couple of hours to spare to assist in our local tribal community please let Reed or Linda know.
FINALLY ... we're weaving sleeping mats
This is the "service above self" project which never seems to end, but on Monday, January 16 we will finally be weaving mats from our donated grocery bags for homeless men and women in our community, at risk during cold winter nights under the bridge.

We know Civil Rights Day (aka Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) is a day off for some of you, but MLK encouraged this day to be a "day on, not a day off" so if you can attend, please do so.  There will be work enough to do for all comers.

If your schedule will allow it, please plan to come early and stay late!  Oh, and if you have clean grocery bags you had not yet donated, this will be the day to do so ... and bring those sharp scissors!
Happy birthday, SGR
On Monday, January 30, 2023 SGR will celebrate 92 years serving the community, the district and the world with a look back, a look forward ... and cake!

And, the "Is It FUNNN?" Committee just might have some other surprises so please invite a neighbor, friend, or co-worker interested in our history of "service above self" or even in becoming a member of St. George Rotary Club!
... and, get involved in all things SGR!!!
Monday, January 9 10:45 a.m. at the Abbey! Lots to discuss.
In the 1950's and 60's more than 350,000 kids were diagnosed every year with polio, but as of Monday, January 9, 2023, we have now gone 16 weeks without a single case ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD ending 2022 with only 30 cases!

You can help us achieve RI's goal of ZERO by joining the Polio Plus Society at just $8.50 per month until polio is - finally and forever - eradicated from the earth, cause this fight isn't over til its over!
