On Monday, August 28, our meeting will be held at Chef Alfredo's Ristorante Italiano, 1110 S. Bluff Street, directly across from the Abbey Inn.

SGR's 2nd program on Monday, August 21 as
we hosted a "Cookies with Candidates" event with
15 of 16 of those running for three seats on the St. George City Council, coincidentally including three Rotarians: Wendi Bulkley (Washington City), Greg Alred (St. George Sunrise) and our very own Steve Jennings (sorry, Steve ... we didn't get this picture with you, but we're behind you)!

A total of 49 Rotarians and friends of Rotary enjoyed a "big reveal" of the newly restored firepit at Vernon Worthen Park on Monday, August 21 followed by a few short speeches, sharing memories of what was then
SG City's town square and a potluck lunch!  Thanks to everyone who came out and supported this fun event.

Do you have an idea for an NDS project?
During the week of the September 11th National Day of Service, Rotary clubs around the district – including SGR – are asked to partner with JustServe.org for a “service above self” project of any kind and with any other non-profit or government organization.

How about painting hydrants around town?  giving blood? ... or do you have another idea?

Please reach out to Service Chair Reed Noble with any idea you might have for SGR to provide "service above self" as we remember and honor the spirit of America!
It's now just four weeks until SGR's 10th Annual Golf Tournament
SGR's 10th annual golf tournament will be held on Thursday, September 21 at Sunbrook Golf Course.  Chairman Chris Parker's goal is $15,000 and he has the full support of his committee, including Dave Watson, Paul Tikalsky, Ed Sappington and Rob Nodine.

To date, there are 15 teams signed up to play (with 4 more pending), and hole sponsorships available to support this, certain to be the very best golf tournament in SGR history.

See a committee member for more information or to contribute your time, talents or money!
District 5420's Governor John Redd has asked 9 members to represent SGR at the Gala. Will you join us for the fashion, food, fellowship and fun?

The total cases of wild polio since NYD 2023 - anywhere in the world - is still holding steady at
7 (5 in Afghanistan and 2 in Pakistan) - but don't be fooled into believing this terrible disease has been eradicated because it is still very much a threat to the children of the world.

PLEASE help us achieve RI's goal of ZERO by joining the Polio Plus Society at just $8.50 per month until polio is - finally and forever - eradicated from the earth, 'cause this fight isn't over til its over!
