The first of SGR's four "away" meetings in the next month will be held at the newly-refurbished Pioneer Courthouse on St. George Blvd. On Monday, March 23, our "talk and tour" speaker will be Dennis Leavitt from United We Pledge. Mark your calendar and invite a friend, neighbor or co-worker for what is certain to be a fun meeting.

It seems the 2026 "Feed Utah" food drive didn't have much promotion this year but it was on Saturday, March 21. If you missed it, you can still participate by bringing donated food items to today's meeting ... AND / OR next week (Monday, March 30) to the UFB when we are there for our 5th Monday "service above self" project!!!

The greatest needs are for peanut butter, mac&cheese, canned meats, chili, canned fruit, boxed meals or donations. Every $1 you give will be matched dollar-for-dollar resulting in $14.46 in food and services.

A $10,000,000 Endowment-SHARE fund will supercharge Utah Rotary's future of "service above self" by providing perpetual funding for local as well as international projects for generations to come!

Rotarians from St. George to Logan are contributing to multiply the impact of every dollar through volunteering, expertise and networking. Community assessments ensure projects address real needs and RI experts guarantee careful investments to generate interest in the amount of $330,000 annually to be divided between our 46 clubs in the form of club, district or global grants.

Large donors can designate their contribution to projects they feel strongly about and which align with RI's seven Areas of Focus.

Will you help DG Suzanne and the Legacy Foundation committee reach this ambitious goal by establishing a bequest in the amount of $10,000 or more ... or a named account in the amount of $25,000?  Ask SGR Foundation Chair Dave Prisbrey or District Foundation Chair Egor Shulman how to make it happen!

Utah Rotary's DG Suzanne Wilhelm's two ambitious goals for D5420 are (1) the establishment of an Endowment-SHARE in the amount of $10,000,000 (or more) from which the district's 46 clubs can apply annually for a portion of the estimated interest of $330,000 for club and district grants; and, (2) increase district membership by a net 200 new members

So, who do you know who is willing to write a sizeable check and/or should be a member of St. George Rotary Club?

THIS online platform connects members worldwide and provides tools and resources for collaboration, communication and project management within clubs. Members can also access information, track contributions, access a wealth of training materials and much more ... yet less than 40% of SGR's members have registered.

One more Pakistani child was confirmed paralyzed by wild poliovirus (type 1) bringing the total in 2025 to 52 (20 in Afghanistan and 32 from Pakistan). But in the good news department, there is still only one case of wild polio-caused paralysis in 2026.

This year, please resolve to join the PolioPlus Society at a cost of just $8.50 PER MONTH - or an annual donation of $100 to save children around the world from this dreaded disease.

FMI, contact Foundation Chair Dave Prisbrey or Club Treasurer Collin Davis to make your wishes known!
