Planting the last of our trees
Bring your neighbors, friends and family when on Monday, May 22 at 5 pm we'll meet at Sandtown Park on Bluff Street to plant the last 48 of our 121 trees.

The City will do the digging so our part will be putting the trees in the holes and throwing in the dirt.  It is easy peasy ... and we'll be done and done in short order!
Final order of oranges is here
Thanks to those members of SGR - and attendees at last month's WashCo Fair - we have sold another 34 cases for another $850, of sweet, delicious California oranges which will be delivered this week (watch for more information).

Our outdoor temps are creeping up, so please make every effort to pick up your order as soon after delivery as possible! Any questions?  See PDG Linda for the answers.
Deliver books to the Children's Museum
SGR has purchased 150+ beautiful new children's books (about 1/3 in Spanish) for "littles" at the St. George Children's Museum.  Please join us on Friday, May 26 at 4 pm on our way to posting flags at SG or Tonaquint cemeteries.  Putting in the stickers and delivering the books will take only a few minutes!
Colombian coffee raises $$$ for Global Grant for Positive Peace
At District Conference, Kris Swanson, D5420's Peace Committee Chair sold coffee to raise matching funds for a Global Grant for Positive Peace which will change the lives of thousands of children in Colombia.

There are three "flavors" for sale.  See Linda to check them out or for more information.  Pay with cash, check or Venmo to @kristina-swanson-3.
Memorial Day flags project
Memorial Day is right around the corner and you're needed to help SGR honor the more than 2100 veterans interred at St. George and Tonaquint cemeteries on Friday, May 26 at 5 pm (either cemetery) and again on Saturday, June 3 at 9 am.

See Reed with any questions you may have then gather your family and friends for this simple but impactful "service above self" project.
Through the efforts of RI and our dedicated partners there have been only 31 cases of wild polio virus anywhere in the world since New Year's Day 2023.

But despite the belief this terrible disease has been eradicated, it is still a threat to the world's children so PLEASE help us achieve RI's goal of ZERO by joining the Polio Plus Society at just $8.50 per month until polio is - finally and forever - eradicated from the earth, 'cause this fight isn't over
til its over!
