Serving as your President this year has been an incredibly heartwarming journey, and I am deeply grateful for the wonderful people who make up this club.
Thank you for the passion and heart you bring to our projects, consistently transforming our service work from a task into a genuine pleasure. I'm excited to see what we achieve in the 2nd half of RY2025-26 as we continue to live out our motto, 'Service Above Self!'
I wish each of you a holiday season filled with love, and a New Year overflowing with friendship, joyful moments, and the shared experiences of "doing good" in our community and the world.

YEAR-END DONATIONS to The Rotary Foundation
are crucial for supporting global service - especially annual giving goals at a recommended $100 per Rotarian, and ensuring funds for club grants through District Designated Funds (DDF) from the Annual Fund. You can give online, via mail with a form, set up recurring gifts (Rotary Direct), or even get your company's match, all counting towards recognition like Paul Harris Fellows, with the goal of impacting peace, disease eradication, and community development.
Your gift also helps Rotary and its partners in their goal to reach every unvaccinated child in the world with the polio vaccine. Every donation provides vaccines, transportation, and essential materials to protect children and stop the spread of polio. And thanks to the Gates Foundation, your contribution – again this year - will be tripled. Together, we can end polio!
Donations must be dated / postmarked no later than December 31, 2026 to be counted.

Thanks to our members and friends of Rotary who signed up - or might still be willing - to volunteer to help at the St. George Children’s Museum New Years Balloon Drop on Wednesday, December 31. This noisy, chaotic and fun event can be found at 86 S. Main Street (west of the new St. George City Hall) from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Remember New Years Eve is also the deadline for those who volunteered for the PGA TOUR in October to take advantage of the 1st of two discounted “volunteer play day” on January 13 at Black Desert Resort.
Thanks to 20 Rotarians and friends of Rotary who rang the bell for the Salvation Army, including Brady Barker, Linda Baker, Randy Gordon, James Jackson, Reed Noble, Paul Tikalsky, Collin Davis, Kolby and Naomi Traveller, Jim and Joann Coleman, Ed and Linda Sappington and 7 new friends of Rotary from Elev8 Clubhouse (one who even played his guitar). We raised the most in the now 5 years we have been serving this important cause … a final total of $2610.97!
Utah Rotary's DG Suzanne goal for D5420 is a net increase of 200 new members by June 30, 2026.

It's now been 8 weeks without a case of wild polio with paralysis reported in either of the world's two endemic countries. This "joyful news" means we're finishing 2025 with a worldwide total of 39 cases ... 9 in Afghanistan and 30 in Pakistan.
In 2026, please resolve to join the PolioPlus Society at a cost of just $8.50 PER MONTH - or an annual donation of $100 to save children around the world from this dreaded disease.
