It's Board Meeting Monday on March 4 so please come prepared to discuss important SGR issues.  There is lots to consider so please join Presidents Bryan Thiriot and Dale Desmond at 10:45 a.m. at the Best Western Abbey Inn.

We are pleased to welcome Carla Martinez as the newest member of St. George Rotary, inducted during SGR's 93rd birthday party on Monday, February 26. Carla and her husband David are the owners of Yogi Snow and Treats, a shaved ice trailer specializing in fluffy shaved ice combinations of flavors and toppings. 

 

Carla and David, and their family, including two young daughters moved to Utah two years ago from Los Angeles and are residents of Santa Clara.

 

Carla looks forward to getting acquainted with Rotary as well as the members of SGR and being involved in service, socials and all-things-Rotary.

Thanks again to Dale Desmond, Dave Watson, Reed Noble and Ed Sappington for their help in distributing 151 cases of California navel oranges last week. 

 

Another order will soon be made to those who enjoyed this delicious fruit so much they want to order more ... and will also include 20 cases sold to new buyers by our Scout Troop 407.

It's been said, "SGR's project in Guatemala will make a true Rotarian out of you!" If you haven't already made this amazing trip, SGR has set aside funding in the amount of $500 for first-time Rotarian stove builders who wish to travel to Guatemala. Mark your calendar for the week of June 1-8 and join us for an exciting adventure in Central America.

Violist Ellie Welker, daughter-in-law of Rotarian Mike and Rhonda Welker and Philippe Hall, son of Rotarian Phil and Rene Hall, will be the featured performers, along with pianist Mark Gubler, on Saturday, March 9 at the St. George Tabernacle.
