Pdt. Dale in Australia (at 5:15 a.m.) discussed Rotary with SGR members on Memorial Day weekend, including the value of attending a RI Convention. "I wish I had known some of these things the first time around but I've got some good ideas for my year as SGR's Foundation chair!" Dale will share what he learned in Melbourne at our meeting
on Monday, June 12.
In celebration of Memorial Day, many Rotarians, scouts and scouters gathered to post - and collect them again - our nation's colors on the graves of 2100+ veterans interred at St. George and Tonaquint cemeteries, SGR's 21st "service above self" project in RY2022-23. See more on SGR's Facebook!
On Monday, May 22, ten Rotarians and friends of Rotary planted another 25 of our 121 trees at Sandtown Park in less than 40 minutes. St. George Parks and Recreation will plant the final 20 so this "service above self" project is now in our history book!
Induction of officers will be a PARTY!

Sadly, in mid-April two new cases of wild polio virus were diagnosed in Afghanistan's Kandahar Province bringing the total number ofcases to21 anywhere in the world since New Year's Day 2023.
So despite the belief this terrible disease has been eradicated, it is still a threat to the world's children so PLEASE help us achieve RI's goal of ZEROby joining the Polio Plus Society at just $8.50 per month until polio is - finally and forever - eradicated from the earth, 'cause this fight isn't over
