Board members, please be aware our June meeting(s) - usually held on the 1st Monday of the month – will be held today, June 15 at 10:45 a.m., at the Abbey Inn.  This will be the last board meeting in President LaRene’s year and the first for President Kolby. If you have an agenda item for either our club or foundation meeting, please contact the secretary … and be prompt because, as always, there is LOTS to discuss!

... to President LaRene's party!

It’s hard to believe, but its time again to pass the baton. After a successful – and fun – year under the direction of President LaRene Cox (who will now serve as Club Foundation Chair) leadership for SGR will be passed to incoming President Kolby Traveller.  Please join us for this year’s officer induction event on Monday, June 29 at the St. George Social Hall on the corner of Main Street and 200 North (aka 212 N. Main across from the St. George Post Office) beginning at 6:00 p.m.

SGR will provide the main course with members each asked to bring a favorite potluck side dish (i.e., salad, dessert, drinks or “other” [beans, bread, etc.]).

Throughout the evening, we will enjoy entertainment, a review of RY2025-26 and recognize some of our members with very special awards.

Please mark your calendar (don’t forget to tell your +1 who is also invited) and join us for the fun!  Don’t miss this memorable evening!  Questions?  See a member of the “Is It FUNNN?” committee or the board!

On Wednesday, June 10, Boston Thiriot along with his dad Bryan and another 20 volunteers from the community - including many scouts from Ivins - traveled to Pine Valley to put in a 10-hour day restoring the Pine Valley fishing dock, destroyed in last year's Forsyth fire.

Boston reports he is "almost done" according to Bryan, who extends a big "thank you" to SGR for a contribution of $500 to his son's Eagle project.  A ribbon cutting is being planned sometime in the fall.

Volunteer registration is open for the PGA TOUR's Bank of Utah Championship at Black Desert Resort. As of this writing - and assuming they all show up - we are pleased to report 75 of 94 volunteer positions needed are filled ... and we're still 4 months away from the event!!!

Please join your Rotary friends at the spectacular Hole 11 during the week of Sept. 30 - Oct. 4. It's likely to be SGR's biggest fundraiser of RY2025-26 with every volunteer receiving a swag package, valued at $2975!!!

FMI, see Linda Sappington. For help in registering, email to baylea.clayton@blackdesertevents.com.

Volunteers still needed.  See the clipboard for more information.

Thanks to 18 members of SGR who have - so far - reached deep to make The Rotary Club of St. George, UT Named Fund a reality ... to provide money for SGR's "service above self" projects in perpetuity. For those still contemplating a donation, the opportunity still exists and here's how you can do it:

*  Write a check payable to "The Rotary Foundation."
*  District Foundation Chairman Egor Shulman will then fill out the necessary forms and submit your donation to TRF for club and individual member recognition. From there, SGR will receive a check each year in the amount of our Endowment-SHARE account's current annual spendable income. FMI, see Dave Prisbrey.

Utah Rotary's DG Suzanne Wilhelm's two very ambitious goals for D5420 are (1) the establishment of an Endowment-SHARE in the amount of $10,000,000 (or more) from which the district's 46 clubs can apply annually for a portion of the estimated interest of $330,000 for club and district grants; and, (2) increase district membership by a net 200 new members
by June 30, 2026

So, who do you know who is willing to write a sizeable check and/or should be a member of St. George Rotary Club?

SGR completed THIS MANY "service above self" projects performed by THIS MANY volunteers over a period of THIS MANY hours in RY2025-26.  Don't know?  Join us at our upcoming Officer Induction Party on THIS DAY
for the answers!

Another week with no new cases of wild polio-caused paralysis so we are still at a worldwide case total of 7.

This year, please join the PolioPlus Society at a cost of just $8.50 PER MONTH - or an annual donation of $100 to save children around the world from this dreaded disease.

FMI, contact Foundation Chair Dave Prisbrey or Club Treasurer Collin Davis to make your wishes known!
