RYE informational meeting this week
On Thursday, October 19, adventurous teens who will be sophomores or juniors in the 2024-25 school year - and their parents / guardians - are invited to attend an informational meeting about Rotary Youth Exchange.
Held at the offices of Roots for Kids, 2044 Mesa Palms Drive and beginning at 7 p.m. representatives from Utah's RYE will share the details of this "largest and least expensive" exchange program in the world.

Harry Potter Halloween Party at the SG Children's Museum needs volunteers
On Saturday, October 28, SGR has been asked to provide up to 20 volunteers (including your +1, teenage kids and grandkids, neighbors, friends, and co-workers) in support of the Harry Potter Halloween Party at the St. George Children's Museum at 86 S. Main Street. The party goes from 5:30 - 7:30, but volunteers are asked to arrive at 4:30.
This event for families in the community will include a variety of activities based on the popular series of children's books, such as "potions" classes, Muggles studies, creating a wand, a costume contest and much more.
Monday, November 6 is another opportunity to hear from the remaining six candidates for a place on the
St. George City Council. Bring friends, neighbors,
co-workers, your questions... and enjoy a cookie, too!
