Bike repair project for Halchita
Rotarians, mark your calendar for a bicycle repair workshop at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 10 (Columbus Day).
Special projects chair James Jackson has arranged for us to meet at 143 S. 100 West (in the garage) where dads and daughters / moms and sons, as well as neighbors, friends, co-workers will learn how to do simple bike repairs while working on the 30+ bikes James has collected for kids in the tribal community of Halchita.

Global telethon to raise funds for polio eradication
On Saturday, October 15, there will be a GLOBAL TELETHON broadcast from Park City TV to 17 countries around the earth. In recognition of World Polio Day, this event will raise funds to eradicate polio finally and forever.
There will be government leaders, polio survivors and an in-person visit from Past RI President and former Rotary Foundation Chair John Germ.
Tune in at 9 a.m. to support this exciting event hosted by District Governor Jose Velasco.
On the weekend of Nov. 10-12, Salt Lake City will see its largest gathering of Rotarians since the 2007 RI Convention when members from 30 districts in the Western U.S. and Canada travel to Utah. Join us on the "Trail to Peace" at the Zone 26/27 Institute where we'll Imagine Rotaryin a peaceful world!
