Our club and foundation board meetings are scheduled for Monday, December 4 at the Best Western Abbey Inn. Board members, please plan to arrive promptly at 10:45 a.m. since, as always, we have much to discuss.
When asked if he had ever invited Jay Leno (a regular performer at Tuacahn) to see his collection, Utah Senator Don Ipson responded, "he'd be insulted. He has bathrooms bigger than my warehouse!"
Some of his cars were "pulled out of the scrap heap and rebuilt!"
The day included lunch from Jersey Mikes, visitors and returning members in attendance.
"Collecting is an old man's game. I'm just a young man with this stupid hobby!"
It's bellringing time again!
Once again, the local Salvation Army, with our own Bob Schmig at the helm, is asking for SGR's help to raise much needed funds to provide support for many who are struggling in our community.
We are creating a group account so members can sign up for a day and time which best fits your schedule.

There will be prime rib for dinner, entertainment, a getting-to-know-you activity and a gift exchange. Please bring a white elephant gift or a gift of less than $10 to exchange - one from you and one from your +1. Attire is formal, dressy or "ugly sweater."

Santa needs generous elves to help fill his toy bag for Halchita
James Jackson, his family and friends will soon be loading up his "sleigh" to take Christmas to boys and girls in Halchita.
But SGR's Santa Claus still needs a few more gifts such as new outdoor name brand sports equipment such as basketballs, footballs and soccer balls. These must be good quality because Santa says, "they will see a lot of action."
Santa also hopes to take Nerf toys and new shoes for teens, size 6-8.
Santa James Jackson will be traveling to Halchita with his family on December 15.
The application deadline of Friday, March 1 for sophomores and juniors (in the 2024-25 school year) interested in attending RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is fast approaching. This change is a result of the District's decision to move this popular event to June 10-13 (summertime rather than during the school year) at Wasatch Academy in Pleasant Grove.

The total cases of wild polio since NYD 2023 - anywhere in the world - is now at 11(7 in Afghanistan and 4in Pakistan). The most recent case proves this terrible disease has not yet been eradicated and is still very much a threat to the children of the world.
