In their most recent board meeting, SGR's board voted in favor of a cash donation to the Utah Food Bank ... AND to bell ringing in large numbers for the Salvation Army.  Even though the government shutdown is behind us (at least until January 1), many of the 9000+ federal employees in the five county area are going to need awhile to catch up.

You are encouraged to sign up TODAY at www.RegisterToRing.com for one or more two-hour shifts at a location - and day and time - of your choice. The Red Kettle Campaign runs through Tuesday, December 23.

Rotary is about giving and giving back.  Here's your opportunity to give "service above self" for those in need.  Questions?  Contact Rotarian Bob Schmig for answers.

Rotary's 45th entry (should be 46th except there was that crazy COVID year) in the world-famous Pasadena Rose Parade had its beginning in 1980 when the Rotary world was celebrating it's 75th anniversary.

Decorating the Rotary Rose Parade Float is a joyful and unforgettable experience filled with teamwork, creativity, and community spirit ... and YOU can be part of the work!!!  Rotarians and friends of Rotary of all ages are invited to come together to bring this year's stunning design to life, carefully placing vibrant flowers, seeds and natural materials to create a breathtaking masterpiece. It's a chance to make new friends, contribute to a meaningful cause, and take part in a cherished tradition bringing smiles to millions on New Year's Day (Thursday, January 1, 2026).

Road trip, anyone?

On a 4-day Veterans Day weekend, including Monday, November 10, when members of St. George Rotary could have been anywhere else doing lots of other things, 23 Rotarians - including Assistant Governor Paula Bell - and 2 prospective members showed up at the offices of the Salvation Army. To help those in need during the longest government shutdown in American history, they bagged food for some of the 9000+ federal employees - and others - who have not had a paycheck in at least two pay periods. Thanks to St. George Rotary for this important "service above self."

Thankfully, another week has passed with no children  diagnosed with WPI. This "good news" means we're still at a worldwide total in 2025 of 39 cases ... 9 in Afghanistan and 30 in Pakistan.

Won't you please consider joining the PolioPlus Society at a cost of just $8.50 PER MONTH - or an annual donation of $100 to save children around the world from this dreaded disease.
