Change of plans: dictionaries instead of sleeping mats
On Monday, December 5 ... we were NOT going to have a noon meeting because of our Christmas party ... but, then we decided to weave grocery bag sleeping mats at noon ... until Reed took delivery on 59 boxes of dictionaries and needs our help to get them out of the front lobby of his office building ASAP!
So, the new plan on Monday, December 5 is to hold our club and foundation board meeting(s) beginning at 10:45 a.m. in the upstairs board room at 35 S. 400 West, Ste. 200 (Jviation is just south of Smith's grocers).
Then at noon, all members are invited to join in the FUNNN of putting stickers in the 1400+ paperback books .... with pizza and bottled water provided. Come one, come all.
The "IS IT FUN?" Committee invites you and your partner to the annual St. George Rotary Club Christmas Party on Monday, December 5 with a promise it will be both FUNNN and enjoyable!
We will gather at the Best Western Abbey Inn for a delicious dinner at 6 p.m., with entertainment provided by our own Loriana de Crescenzo followed by a gift exchange (one wrapped gift - valued at not more than $10 - from every attending Rotarian and each guest).
Dressy dress as per IIF Committee member Joann Coleman.
Our own Bob Schmig needs SGR to help him fill the famous Salvation Army Red Kettle so he can help people in need here in SW Utah. We have enough volunteers for Saturday, December 10 but that day doesn't work for everyone!
We will have a 2nd signup sheet circulating at our Christmas party on Monday, December 5. This 2nd date is Saturday, December 17 at the Bloomington Walmart and will include a friendly competition between St. George and St. George Sunrise RC bell ringing at two locations to see which club can raise the most $$$ for SA's causes.
The deadline to purchase toys which don’t need batteries, Legos, Playdoh, board games, any kind of ball … or ask your kids / grands what they recommend for children their own age.
Unwrapped gifts for boys or girls - particularly those under age 13 - must be in the hands of Rotarian James Jackson no later than Monday,December 12 for delivery to Halchita on Friday, December 16.
FMI, contact James directly (and REMEMBER, if you are shopping Amazon, sign into https://smile.amazon.com/ where your purchases will also include a small donation to St. George Rotary at no extra cost).
Another "service above self" opportunuty: NYE at the Children's Museum
Join us on Saturday, December 31 from 9 a.m. - noon to ring in New Year 2023. It's so much fun to be with our community's "littles." Sign up on the clipboard being circulated!
