Rotary Club seeks youth for leadership program

ST. GEORGE —The Ro­tary Club of St. George is actively seeking up to four high school sophomores or juniors, in the 2014-15 school year, to attend Ro­tary Youth Leadership Award the weekend of Sept. 17-20 in Heber City.

Rotary Youth Leader­ship Awards is a leader­ship training program sponsored by Rotary In­ternational designed to promote, encourage and reward outstanding young people who want to be­come better leaders.RYLA, called “the best week of my life” by many former RYLArians, con­sists of an all-expense paid three-day conference with a group of up to 100 young men and women from across Utah to share ideas about becoming better leaders. Action-packed ac­tivities, such as problem­solving games, a chal­lenge course, group dis­cussions and team-build­ing activities, help partici­pants build confidenceand leadership skills.The application is avail­able for download online atrylautah. org.For addi­tional information, call 435-770-9707 or 435-216-7024.
